We invite all parents of South Elementary students to apply to serve on our Community Council. We are looking to fill 2 parent positions. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your voice, support our students, and help guide important decisions for our school. The Community Council is charged with identifying needs in the school, and is provided with a significant budget generated from the state’s School Land Trust.
Councils are made up of the principal, 4 parents who are elected by parents of students attending the school and 1 school employee who is elected by employees. Membership terms are for two years. Any parent who has a student attending the school at least one of the two years of their term can apply.
Nominations will be accepted Monday - Thursday, September 15-18th.
Elections will be held on September 19th.
